Appin Launched 'Fort Appin' Improving Internet Security Concern
11 July 2011
Last week, Appin Security Group launched Fort Appin, a new Internet security software which protects computers against viruses, hackers, spam, and identity theft. The software costs Rs. 750 for single business user annual license and it has a special module built at Appin labs which performs heuristic-based malware blocking and removal. Thus it provides zero-day protection even when the signatures have not been updated.
“We understand that today’s business solutions need to go far beyond basic virus detection and prevention. Keeping this in mind, Fort Appin solutions have been designed keeping in mind the growing Internet usability across India with special emphasis on the rapidly evolving SME industry. This is one of few anti-viruses where the signature update will happen from India itself insuring higher speeds and no suspicion of spyware being introduced in the update,” said Rajat Khare, the CEO and Founder of Appin Security Group.
Considering the benefits of this new software, Mr. Khare told that Fort Appin helps companies to accomplish a unified management platform for remote installation, apart from allowing configuration and reporting of all Fort Appin clients, server and gateway products deployed throughout the network. Mr. Khare also told that, "It provides IT administrators with network-wide visibility into all malware related incidents. It also proactively audits hardware and software assets within the network, besides remotely configuring and managing client and server system settings."
