09 July 2011
On Monday, Secret Service informed that it will inspect the FoxNews' political Twitter account hacking due to the recent update that claims President Barack Obama had been assassinated.

In early Monday, the FoxNewsPolitics account was attacked by hackers leaving a string of 6 posts reporting that Obama had been shot to death in Iowa and the shooter was unknown.
However, Fox News reported in a post on their website stating these posts as "malicious" and "false". The vice president and general manager of Fox News Digital, Jeff Misenti, said, "We will be requesting a detailed investigation from Twitter about how this occurred, and measures to prevent future unauthorized access into FoxNews.com accounts."
At present, Obama is hosting the Independence Day holiday at a barbecue at the White House with military families and administration officers.
The political Twitter account of FoxNews has more than 34,000 people following to them.
