dotMobi Introduces goMobi Service Through Parallels Platform
04 August 2011
dotMobi, a well-known company for its .MOBI website based on mobile and a dev.mobi developer forum, introduced the presence of a new cloud-based goMobi service on the Parallels virtualization and automation platform for web services providers. The new service provides a faster, easy and cheaper way for businesses to generate mobile websites with a better user experience on practically any mobile device.
The company says since mobile browsing is assumed to darken desktop sell by 2014, goMobi presents the power of the mobile web in the shape of an easy-to-use web application. Web services providers can provide goMobi straightaway from their site, and every goMobi account created is then activated and administered entirely through the Parallels platform. goMobi is sketched to function as an entirely integrated application within Parallels Plesk Panel 10 or straight through dotMobi as an APS application.
Later on, it says goMobi websites take benefits of the mobile phone's ideal capabilities to offer the best possible user experience. Mobile-only features such as click to call, mapping, QR codes and integration with social networks and location-based services support involves consumers and make long-term relationships. As Google also noticed, 61% of consumers make a call to a local business besides using a mobile phone to look for services, and the mobile user experience can straightaway affect a consumer's understanding of a business. It even contains device detection so those who use a business' desktop site on a mobile device are indeed redirected to the goMobi site, so that the experience is well-fitted to their particular mobile phone.
dotMobi's Chief Financial and Operating Officer, Eileen O'Sullivan states, "dotMobi has taken advantage of the Application Packaging Standard (APS) in making goMobi available to the more than 10,000 web services providers and resellers who use the Parallels' Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model. As a 'pluggable' APS application, goMobi is available for simple, rapid deployment by web services providers, who can rapidly increase their revenues by helping businesses 'goMobi'."
According to John Zanni, VP of Marketing and Alliances at Parallels, "goMobi gives thousands of Parallels service providers the opportunity to have an out-of-the-box offering that makes it easy for them to take the offering and upsell, resell or bundle mobile websites to reach billions of mobile web users in the global market today."
