Rackspace Hosting, one of the leading web hosting firm, has recently introduced a new service in Europe named Critical Sites service. Critical Sites service is basically for those clients whose online presence is 'extremely mission-critical'. This service offers enterprise-level web hosting solutions and customer-facing applications and web services.
The company announced that this service enters into the application layer to provide mission-critical support for crucial websites of customers and applications. The users of this service gets the access to a set of performance management utilities designed to earn real-time presence of the end user experience. The utilities are framed to improve peak application performance and availability so that the infrastructure of a user functions at the optimum level to help the business. One of the previous Rackspace customers to use this service is BlackLine Systems, a provider of enterprise-class financial 'close process' applications offered by an On Demand SaaS platform. It offers applications that automate the whole financial close process to help increase financial controls for companies.
Based of this, Critical Sites varies from existing services of the company in many ways. A team of engineers across the web offers service designed to give deep insights of application performance with regular analysis reviews for applications, infrastructure and architectures. Moreover, it offers clients a sophisticated set of tools for advanced application and website tracking and simulated load testing. This mission essential service also has a different Service Level Agreement (SLA), that contains a five-minute notification of events guarantee and a 100% guarantee of availability of the production platform.
The company states that the service is available to US-based clients from October last year and clients such as Mazda, BlackLine Systems and Hawaiian Airlines who all depend on the service to have their mission critical sites up and running. The requirements for the Critical Sites service is still increasing, indicating the importance of having excellent tools and engineers available to provide a better consumer experience to clients.
It declares that with more than 10 years of experience in management of mission-critical websites and software supported by the company's Fanatical Support, the new service is actually framed for clients looking for optimizing end-user experience and online transactions; the desire to prevent site/application problems concerned with breaking & fixing times; and also firms who want to deduce consumer resources essential for developing and maintaining their website or application.
David Kelly, the SVP of Rackspace, said "We are witnessing a revolution in how businesses chose to buy and consume IT. Where in the past, organizations ran their own entire IT operation; increasingly they are choosing to buy IT as a service from firms like Rackspace. Today, customers like Mazda and Hawaiian Airlines are asking us to help with their most critical IT infrastructures - including those sites and applications that they have traditionally regarded as too precious to outsource. To address that need, we have created our Critical Sites service offering mission-critical, enterprise-grade hosting."
And BlackLine Executive Vice President of Operations, Mario Spanicciati says "BlackLine is responsible for confidential financial data for some of the largest companies in the world. The Rackspace Critical Sites service helps BlackLine deliver a reliable, high performance application to our global client base. The Critical Sites service has successfully extended our team's capabilities and helped us to ensure that our SLAs are met."
