Hackers Have Now Broken NATO Security
22 July 2011
A team of system hackers asserts that they have broken NATO security to access lots of restricted material.
The team, named Anonymous, told that it is not at all liable for distributing most of the material they have stolen from NATO but they are holding about 1 GB of data. On their Twitter account, Anonymous submitted a PDF document that seems to be stating "NATO Restricted" and dated August 27, 2007. Their another comment states, "In the next few days, wait for interesting data." NATO did not responded to this immediately.
Anonymous is a loosely formed team of hackers passionate about WikiLeaks. It has confirmed liability of hacking corporate and government websites globally. The team also confirms credit for interrupting the websites of Visa and MasterCard in December when the credit card companies discontinued processing funds to WikiLeaks and its owner, Julian Assange.
On Tuesday US authorities declared 14 arrests linked to December attacks on Internet payment service PayPal that was confirmed by Anonymous. The US authorities assured that a couple of other Americans, Dutch nationals and Briton were also caught on suspicion for involvement in other attacks against companies and organizations.
